Having a problem means having a standard (but often the standard is missing or has very high variations). If we do not have a consistent standard, we do not have the problem. Having a standard means having a consistent way to measure the standard. Current measurements and future targets for current measurements are converging with the objectives, strategies, mission and vision of companies.
By extrapolating, the biggest problem for many companies and managers is the lack and assumption of clear direction and continued restandardization towards a better desired state (through kaizen). In this way there is a lack of awareness of the problems and implicitly a lack of willingness to act.
